WHAT IS THE C19 CONSPIRACY THEORY?
You've probably heard about the C19 theory, but what is it really about? Get an introduction to the conspiracy theory that everyone is talking about.
New conspiracy theories are emerging in these times. One of the most prominent and fastest growing of these is the C19 theory. Its followers call themselves "Ronas" which is attributed to the ending of the name Corona, because the followers of the theory believe that there is an infectious Coronavirus in circulation throughout the planet. They also call themselves "normies" because they believe that they are the "normal" and that supporters of other theory formations are completely wrong.
THE THEORY
The theory goes that in Wohan, which is a city somewhere in China, something happened in a market that included some soup and a bat and out of that arose the virus that is so central to the whole theory. According to the theory, large parts of the Chinese metropolis were infected by this virus and there was death, destruction and misery in the wake of its spread. Then the virus spread to Italy (Why the infection took such a long jump while leaving large parts of China in is not really addressed in the theory) and here the Italians died, especially the old ones like flies and the hospitals were crowded and the patients lay on there stomach with bent knees in the ventilators to relieve the symptoms. And then the infection spread to all of Europe and to the United States.
HEROES
The Ronas (ie the supporters of the theory) have great faith in the IT billionaire Bill Gates. He has a sort of savior role in their mythology and they pay tribute to the notion that Bill Gates will produce a vaccine that will protect people from the "dangerous" virus.
Another somewhat surprising "hero" within this theory is former Ethiopian politician Tedros Adhanom. What is surprising is that Tedro's Adhanom actually started his career as an activist in the organisation TPLF and TPLF is classified as a terrorist organization in the global terror database. Tedros, on the whole, like Bill Gates has a rather dubious history that the followers tend to ignore. He is currently the leader of the international organization WHO.
MEDIA
The C19 theory has its own news media specializing in spreading the theory. Here at home they have a very large and professionally organized channel which they call DR and in the USA there is a huge channel called CNN. Many experts believe that it is precisely these large well-functioning media platforms that are key to the C19 theory's tremendous success.
FOLLOWERS' SLOGAN AND SYMBOLS
It is very common for supporters of the theory to wear a mask that covers the mouth and nose. A small bottle of hand sanitiser is also a widespread accessory among the followers.
A widespread slogan in the movement is "Stay Home, Stay Safe". Or the slightly more aggressive "Stay The Fuck Home" that some of the more radical followers have printed over their profile picture on Facebook. On the whole, it seems to be the widespread notion within the movement that being indoors and avoiding contact with others is a virtue, which naturally lies in the belief that there is a dangerous and contagious virus in circulation. The proponents believe that the spread of the virus can be slowed down by "self isolating".
DOUBLE THINKING
Funny enough, the theory seems to draw on the George Orwell concept of "double thinking" in several of its messages. Double thinking in George Orwell's 1984 dystrophy is based on word constructions that contain their own contradiction, for example, "Hate is love". Thus, in the C19 movement. Phrases like "separation is community", "distance is care" and "social is asocial " is often used.
SALVATION
Like many other movements, the movement has a concept of salvation. They are waiting for salvation to occur and salvation is expected to come in the form of a vaccine. Once the vaccine has been developed and when everyone around the world has been vaccinated, salvation should have been achieved, except that it will only be brief as a new global pandemic can pay the planet a visit anytime.
ARGUMENT FORM
The supporters of the C19 theory are known for a particular argumentation method. When exposed to a critical statement, they say. "There is not a shadow of evidence" and when the opposing party puts good evidence on the table they say that they will not look at it because they know it is invalid. Another method they often use is to declare the counterparty incompetent in relation to their opinion. For example, if the counterpart says "It's a car". Then they can replicate: "How can you say that it is a car - you do not have a driver's license?".
DECREASING SUCCESS
The movement gained great support from the beginning of March 2020, but here towards the end of May it seems as if the believe and the confidence in the theory is declining. The declining success is probably due to the fact that there has been some discrepancy between the statements that the movement's key figures have come up with and the testimonies that have come from other sources. Against this background, some of the movement's messages appear unrealistic and propagandistic, which has led many former supporters to doubt. Doubts have also started to arise about the vaccine which is otherwise a central element of theory formation. Many former supporters have become aware of some very harmful substances found in the.
vaccines.
It will be exciting to follow the C19 movement going forward. The big question is whether the movement will regain its success and gain new followers, or whether it has entered a dissolution phase.
