Yesterday I installed latest puppy linux lucid puppy 5.2. For a long time I had used a puppy 4.12 variant optimized for music making. I loved it but the daily use of 3G modem was very unstable and the connection of USB devices are also generally a little weak. I installed Ubuntu at my sons PC and could see that these parts -the USB connection and 3g modem worked better with Ubuntu so I set myself that I probably had to leave the Puppy and go Ubuntu way. I decided however to give the latest Puppy try since I was so happy about Puppy. What luck. Puppy had improved in the two areas. Before I had to boot with my 3g modem pluged to have any chance it could work but with Lucid Puppy I can tinker modem in and out as it suits me during one session. And then it fitures the Google Chrome browser and so still the same speed. It is as if one can have good contact with the system. The rapid response to our wishes because it is so small and lightweight and at the same time strong. I love Puppy Linux thanks to everyone who has contributed to the development and maintenance of the system..
